Welcome to SitéBad

SitéBad was officially created on September 29, 2004, in the same spirit than the two other gay and lesbian badminton clubs of Paris - Goodminton and AcroBAD - ie :

organising and promoting badminton practice as leisure and/or competition sport within the gay and lesbian community;
battling against discrimination and for better integration of gays and lesbians into our modern society.

However, subscription is not limited to gays and lesbians; any gay-friendly fellow is welcomed.

This season, trainings take place in:

Candie gymnasium, 11 rue de Candie, 75011 Pari; and
in Japy gymnasium, rue Japy, 75011 Paris.

History

On March 6, 1992, Goudminton came into birth and became Goodminton few years later. Then, AcroBAD was founded by Goodminton players to meet the increasing demand of the gay and lesbian community for badminton.

By 2004, badminton popularity amongst gays and lesbians increased to such a level that a new badminton club was needed. Therefore, some Goodminton members, once more, decided to take the plunge and founded, in September 2004, the last but not least gay and lesbian badminton club: SitéBad.

Founding members were Jérôme, Emmanuel, Joël, Olivier and Pierre-Yves.

Organisation

Members of the Executive Committee are:

Seven other people help the Executive Committee in the club's daily life. These seven people and the Executive Committee form the Board, that was eleted for one year by the club's members.

Help and support from other members throughout the year are highly appreciated.
